Corsair XMS3000 512MB Module is in stock
(posted 29/4/2002 by marcom_n)

We have the new ultra fast Corsair 512MB XMS3000 in stock now.

The CMX512-3000C2 is a 512 MByte, dual bank, ultra-performance DDR SDRAM DIMM screened specifically for gaming applications. This part has been selected by our Compatibility Lab for its outstanding performance in motherboards commonly used in gaming rigs. This memory has been verified to operate at 185 MHz (2-3-3, 1T command rate) and 166 MHz (2-2-2, 1T command rate). Generally, one 512 MByte module will outperform two 256 MByte modules in a given motherboard. Side-by-side comparison indicates that this is one of the fastest DDR modules available in the world.

A recent review shows Corsair XMS3000 can handle the highest FSB when comparing 5 PC3000/PC2700 DDR RAMs. Review at AMDMB.com: http://www.amdmb.com/article-display.php?ArticleID=177&PageID=5

Please see the Corsair press release here: http://www.corsairmicro.com/main/PR_cmx512-3200.html

We do not have a firm date for the availability of the XMS3200, but they should not be far away.
