Corsair Reduces Latency Specifications on XMS3500
(posted 15/11/2002 by marcom_n)
Fremont, CA, November 15, 2002: Corsair Memory, Inc., an industry leader in ultra-performance DDR DRAM modules for gaming and overclocking applications, has announced that it is moving to more aggressive latency settings on its popular XMS3500 line of ultra-performance memory modules. "There was some dissatisfaction among our enthusiast customer base regarding the latency settings for the XMS3500 modules," stated Don Lieberman, VP of Engineering at Corsair. "We have listened to these customers, and engineered and qualified a production test that uses more aggressive settings." The modules are now tested in an Abit KD7 KT400-based motherboard using the following settings: Memory bus speed: 2x217 MHz The XMS3500 modules are generally regarded as the very fastest memory modules available. Independent review sites have confirmed this with extensive side-by-side testing with other modules. As summarized by one UK reviewer, "Corsair have yet again upped the ante in the memory stakes with what is some of the fastest DDR memory on the planet... the fact is that Corsair are offering simply the best memory around." Further information and specifications on this product and other XMS products can be found at Corsair's web site (www.corsairmemory.com/xms/). These modules can be purchased through Corsair’s authorized sales channels listed at http://www.corsairmemory.com/xms/xms_sales.html. About Corsair Memory |

Recommended by Intel, AMD and Tyan Aluminium case in black colour Relayed AC output (requires US-AUS adapter). Idea for powering peripheral such as speakers, scanners, modems etc. The AC output is switched off when your PC is shutdown. Saves power as well as reduces the risk of fire! 24pin ATX connector to be used for Xeon motherboards and some Tyan motherboards. A 24 to 20 pin converter is included for normal motherboard. 3 Thermal controlled ball bearing fans (clear fan blades), switchable between Auto, Low, Medium speed (only 2 fans for the 300w and 370w models) Over Voltage protection Over current protection Stable regulation for +5, +3.3v, +12v at +/-5% Gold plated connector pins |
