We no longer provide Australia Post COD service
(posted 22/10/2002 by marcom_n)
We have been providing Australia Post COD service since the beginning. Many customers have enjoyed this shipping option. With this payment/shipping option customers do not need to pay up to front, also in some areas, customers feel more comfortable with the local posties. Unfortunately due to increasing numbers of No Pickups, we can no longer maintain this service. Some customers place the order using this service, then either change their mind after we dispatch the goods or simply choose to pick up/pay for the goods at their will. Others order first, then try to save up. When a COD parcel is rejected, we have to pay the postage to ship the goods, the COD fee of $7.7 as well as the postage to have the goods shipped back to us, not to mention the depreciation of the goods while waiting to be picked up. Orders already placed with this shipping method will still be processed. We have cancelled the daily post parcel pick up contract, so no exception order can be made after today. We hope our regular Australia Post COD customers can understand. We encourage these customers to use BPAY, direct deposit or Internet fund transfer. Sydney customers still have the option of using courier COD service. |

(posted 11/10/2002 by marcom_n)
Prices for memory have been going up. It is expected to continue to see the trend for sometime. Prices for hard drives are also on the way up. This is mainly due to a worldwide shortage at the moment. For example, none of the distributors has the stock at the moment for the 80GB Western Digital JB drive.
