Dr Thermal coolers are back
(posted 15/3/2002 by marcom_n)

This shipment include:

www.eyo.com.au disappeared?
(posted 14/3/2002 by marcom_n)

Somehow Melbourne IT wiped our DNS record perhaps sometime last night.:( They are still closed at the moment. Rang their US agent for after hour service and got an answsering machine (what is the point?)

In the meantime, people could try www.eyo.net.au or www.eyotechnologies.com

Update:

Finally got through on the phone to Melbourne IT (the authourity for com.au domains). They confirmed one of the server related to com.au domains is having problem. They are still trying to fix it at the moment. I found iprimus.com.au was "de-registered" too this morning. Luckily eyo.com.au domain seems have been delegated again after a re-delegation request.

Browsing speed, cookie-less trade off
(posted 13/3/2002 by marcom_n)

Our web pages are now compressed on the fly to take the advantages of most of the modern browsers. These browsers will decompress the contents after receiving the compressed pages. This mechanism enables increased browsing speed as well as conserve bandwidth usage. The speed increase should be quite noticeable. The trade off for this is that the cookie-less shopping is no longer working. You can still browse the site without cookies on, but you can not purchase without cookies.

We consider this as a trail, if cookie-less shopping was very important to people or if we found other side effects, then we will disable this function.
