The 12big Rack Expansion is specifically designed to both improve the performance and expand the capacity of the 12big Rack Fibre. Expand capacity by up to 60TB by daisy-chaining four LaCie 12big Rack Expansions connected to a single LaCie 12big Rack Fibre. If you’re planning on upgrading to a dual controller enclosure, the 12big Rack Expansion must be purchased with a dual I/O module option. This will provide full controller redundancy at a storage system level ensuring the high availability of the hosted data.
